Pastor Will was born and raised in the projects of Cleveland, Ohio right behind the BIG Q Furniture Store. The third of three sons born to Anita Jean Lawson on April 25, 1970. He joined the Omega Baptist Church, East Cleveland, Ohio under the pastorialship of Bishop B. G. Finney at the age of 12, he later was saved and baptized at this very age.Was very active in the church serving as the President and director of the Sun-Beam choir for several years, served on the Jr. Usher Board, Jr. Deacon Board and was assistant Secretary for Sunday School and later served as the Secretary.Attended Chambers and Rozelle Elementary, his favorite teacher was and is 6th Grade teacher Ms. Bussey. His best friend at the time...TODD! Later went on to Kirk Jr. High School and in eigth grade was the Morning Announcer for Activities and Programs. He still remembers (LOL LOL LOL LOL...okayyyyy why am I writing in third person...LOL LOL LOL) at any rate...He still remembers (go on) ringing the bells to get the entire buildings attention.Graduated from Shaw High School in 1988. While in High School served as President of the Key Club, was in the choir and Diversified Health Occupation (DHO) Vocational School. It was then he learned that if you have nothing nice to say about your teachers (both of them) do not say nothing at all. His very good friend during these times was Carla Wilson. Also was on the Homecoming Court in 1988.Went on to Bowling Green State University graduating in December 1993 (he realizes thats more than four years). Was in the Gospel Choir, pledged Phi Beta Sigma and served as President and Dean of Pledges for a couple of years, State of Ohio Undergraduated (LOL) President for one year and nicknamed the chapter the "ELITE" Epsilon Phi Chapter. Was very instrumental in establishing the National PanHellinic Council for the Black Greek Lettered Organizations and is listed as its founder and 1st President. Also was a radio personality on 88.1FM hosting what he named "FINALLY...GOSPEL" every Sunday afternoon.Licensed to preach in 1995 ordained in 1998 and became pastor and founder of Solid Rock Church in December of 1999.Pastor Will later went on to graduate from Golden Gate University.In addition he is currently the Director of Asset Management at the Detroit Housing Commission in Detroit, MI (Go PISTONS!). Looking to start his PhD program within the next 2 years. He is also a Radio Personality with Welch Communications and you can hear him live as the many banners state. Pastor Will just landed a television gig on Channel 68 (don't turn there if you ain't in Toledo) a local community cablevision show and also seen in parts of Michigan. He gives the top ten cd's on CHAINBREAKERS Sunday mornings 9am! You can also here a sermon of Pastor Will on WJUC-FM at 9am (God's Word Ministries). If you haven't figured out yet...Pastor Will loves to run his mouth.Single, educated, spiritual brother who enjoys life and the blessings of God. To know him is to love him.
