Seizures Palace Recording

About Me

2008 marks the 6-year anniversary of SEIZURES PALACE RECORDING in Brooklyn, NY. Started as a project studio for Atlanta-band Pineal Ventana in the '90s, engineer/producer/audio manipulator Jason LaFarge moved the studio to New York in 2002 as a full-time professional facility. Located in the Old American Can Factory and sharing the space with the legendary BC Studio, SEIZURES PALACE benefits from old stone walls, high 15-20 foot ceilings (a drum room to die for...), and the gear/experience/desire to make great sounding music. Clients have included Devendra Banhart ("Rejoicing in the Hands" & "Nino Rojo"), Khanate ("Capture and Release"), Angels of Light ("...Sing Other People" & "We Are Him"), Akron/Family ("Akron/Family" & "Meek Warrior"), A.R.E. Weapons ("Free in the Streets" & "Modern Mayhem"), The Unlovables ("Heartsickle"), The Hub ("Light Fuse...Get Away"), Chicha Libre ("Sonido Amazonico"), Smokewagon ("Deuce"), Michael Hill ("Black Gold & Goddesses Bold"), Theresa Sareo ("Alive Again"), Mi & L'Au, Lambic, and Child Abuse, among many others. Check out the website for a full list of gear, clients and credits: www.seizurespalace.com (currently being remodeled - up soon).LaFarge also hosts/curates improvisational recording sessions at the studio under the name "Ghosts of Seizures Palace." The idea is to bring in different musicians with different talents who don't know each other (or at least haven't played together), throw 'em together and record the output. Special things are in the works for this project. Check back for further updates. I am very, very excited. Look for a GHOSTS OF SEIZURES PALACE MySpace site in the near future...About Seizures Palace's "Top Friends": the top rows are comprised of past clients and projects while the bottom row is reserved for current clients. These will be updated occasionally (although Pineal Ventana will always maintain a spot on the top row).I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
