About Me

My names Logan. Wolverine is my mutant name.
My Powers Are:
- A healing factor that cures any wound, heals any disease and makes him immortal. That healing factor also slows his aging, making him look ten years younger than he really is.
- An enhanced sense of smell, that enables him to sense the specific scent of any person.
- Super-strength
I'm 5'3", 300 lbs (includin' adamantium), I was born a mutant ah few years before the turn of the century (1887'ish) in Alberta, Canada. My real name is James Howlett, But I've gone by Logan as long as I could remember.
I'm a creature of the wild. I hate cities... hate civilization with all its idiot rules. Gimme the free, open, elemental spaces of my mountains where a man holds his fate in his own hands. No lies there. No deception, no compromise. So why, I wonder, do I love this land, this city? It's probably the most structured on Earth, laced tight with centuries of tradition and ritual, covering every conceivable aspect of public and private life. I was born to one world. But I choose to be part of the other.
I was once a Samurai in Japan, trained by the captain of the Japanese Imperial Army - Ogun, a mercenary operative for the Central Intelligence Agency, and the "wild man" in the Canadian wilderness. I was a soilder in World War II & I fought side by side with Captain America. Supposidely I'm tha Deadliest Critter on Two Legs.
Sometime between 1964 and 1968, I was teamed with Victor Creed (aka Sabretooth) and David North (aka Maverick) to form the core of what came to be known as Team X - a multi-national CIA backed group. Other members of the team included Silver Fox, John Wraith and Mastodon. Just how much of a relationship I had with Silver Fox had is up to debate - part of my memories of her are definitely false, but the cabin that he built and that they lived in together does exist. At any rate, by 1972, Silver Fox was long gone from Team X and was an active member in Hydra.
Backing up again, sometime after 1968, Team X split apart when a mission where we were out to steal a cabonadium synthesizer (and ended up fighting Omega Red) went very bad and Sabretooth shot Janice - a double agent. I was furious and refused to leave Janice's body. after that mission, I left and never looked back.
(around 1964) after World War II, I was attacked by agents of Department H outside of a bar and taken to become a "volunteer" in the Weapon X program, sponsored by the Canadian government & led by Dr. Cornelius as part of tha Weapon X Assassin Program. Undergoin' the program's tortuous procedures against my will. They laced my skeleton with adamantium, which inadvertently laced my mutant claws with adamantium also, renderin' my bones virtually unbreakable. They trained me to be a wild ferocious fighter. I have a "fast healin' factor" ability enablin' me to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of my cellular structure. This makes me virtual immunity to poisons and limited immunity to the fatigue poisons generated by my own body. It also retards my ageing process. Funny thing about this mutant healin' factor o' mine - it sure don't cancel out any o' the pain. Most times, you can bear the pain if that's all there is that stands between you and what you gotta do. Still don't stop it hurtin' though. Among other things, I got a sense o' smell that can tell you what brand deodorant you were using this time last year, an acute senses of sight, an hearin.
After escaping from lab rat status, I roamed the Canadian wilds for another blank period I escaped the lab rat Weapon X program and roamed the Canadian wilds naked with no memories of my previous life... another blank period...
I met Mac and Heather Hudson, & became a Canadian operative again. On my first mission, I ended up involved in a fight goin' on between the Hulk and Wendigo. After my encounter with the Hulk, I joined Mac's new-forming group codenamed 'The Flight'. The group's first and only mission came before they were really prepared and resulted in the death of one of the team members, St. Elmo. The Flight was divided into different levels of experience with the most experienced going into Alpha Flight. At this point, I had quit usin' the name Logan except among close friends an' simply went by Wolverine. I became Alpha Flight's most valuable member an' I helped Hudson develop Alpha Flight to cope with some of his failures. Still I felt as if I didn't belong and didn't enjoy being controlled by tha government.
Shortly after, I was approached by Professor Charles Xavier, who was recruitin' for mutants to help his students, the X-Men. Escaping from the island-bein' known as Krakoa, which had captured them. I left Alpha Flight to accompany Xavier and rescue the captured X-Men. After Krakoa was defeated, I decided to stay with the X-Men, the reason I stayed was because of a girl... a girl named Jean Grey.
I've been in tha X-Men for along time now but I've also been in a lot ah other groups inludin: Age of Apocalypse, Alpha Flight, Brotherhood, CIA, Clan Yashida, Department H, the Flight, Fantastic Four, Four Horsemen, Grandmaster Champions, Hydra, Landau, Luckman & Lake, The Pack, Project X, The Secret Defenders, S.H.I.E.L.D., Team X, the Yashida Clan, X-Treme Sanctions Executive. Now i'm in tha Avengers, & Livin' in ol' New York. People tend to forget how beautiful New York state is. They just think 'bout the city an' it's like the rest of the state don't even exist.
I like bein' alone most the time, I don't take shit from no one, I don't die easy. But I'm Gettin' a lot ah practice at fakin' it though. I speak English, Japanese, Russian, German, Chinese, Mandarin, Cheyenne, Lakota, Spanish, and Nowek, and have Some Knowledge of Cuban, French, Thai, Portugese, Cantonese, Afghan, Tibetan, Blackfoot, Siksika, and Vietnamese. I'm an accomplished pilot. I love sleep, I love food, I love my chopper, I love Jean... Funny. Even after all ah this, I feel like something's missin'... like I don't know what t'do next. Welp, Enough TALK! Theres BLOOD ta be SHED!
