Frances Vera was born and raised in Chicago’s Humboldt Park community to first generation Puerto Rican immigrants. Since her early high school years Vera has been the community beauty consultant. Vera’s love of make up artistry began during Chicago’s early hip-hop club scene. Vera was renowned for her unique sense of style and fabulous use of make up. Vera’s passion for fashion and love for make up led her to the salon industry.
In 2001 Vera began her licensed esthetician practice at one of Wicker Park’s most sought after salons. As Vera’s client base grew it became apparent that she could most effectively meet the needs of her clients as an independent consultant.
