I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm studying for a BA hons in Illustration at UCCA Maidstone. I fix electronics in old cars and run two websites to fund my education, and I'm scraping through.
I draw and paint things inspired by my involuntary travels, the strange world around me (The Wild East, as a Met Policeman put it), good films and books. I am currently working on a series of drawings which may link together to resemble Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. I have a fascination with the Jezreel Tower. I often go on expeditions around Kent and East Sussex to abandoned bunkers, asylums, houses of interest, anything like that. I'm planning a couple more and if you're are similarly inclined drop me a line and we can share notes. PLEASE don't mail me about the ULF/Radar Studio any more, and FFS leave the Grange alone, there are Gurkhas there now.
I frequent The Thirsty Pig in Maidstone, Slimelight in Islington, & The Electric Ballroom in Camden. Couple of other clubs in London and Brighton but I shant go anywhere else in Maidstone. It's piss poor.
I come from a family of artists; thats my excuse, anyway.
I drive a Citroen BX 14 RE, which is the best car ever made. <- FOR SALE, with body kit and tailblazer. I'm very sad and it's a hugely reluctant sale :(

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Carl McCoy, in some kind of Hardware dystopia. Maybe a bit naked. Ian Astbury could be there too, like a post-modern Apache sex warrior. Oh yeah.

Anyone who understands my city/desert analogy! Ask me for details!

This is the Jezreel's Tower, built in Gillingham to be a modern tower of Babel. It had no rooms, but a giant spinning stage and the whole structure formed a huge ladder, by which the Almighty would drag the Jezreelites up to Heaven during the rapture. For this end they never cut their hair.

My Blog

FOTN @ Shepherds Bush Empire

The wonders of the natural world

Caffiene. I love caffiene. I hear a lot of bad press about caffiene, and it disgusts me. Caffiene is, in my opinion, the universal cure for everything. When incredibly poor, I have managed to live off...

Pointless nostalgia

For some reason I am lamenting the loss (long ago) of my "Dream Ballet Sindy". She was so damn cool. The only Sindy I ever had, bought for me for Christmas 1991. She really kicked the crap out of Barb...
