Well I am a brutally honest person. Most of the time it is appreciated-it's sometimes not. I am currently learning balance in my life. I used to be an all or nothing type person, but something always gets neglected when you do that. I love life. I pride myself in finding good or beauty in the ugliest of situations. We can all learn from everyone and everything if we are willing to receive. I have started back with my Brazilian Jujitsu. My teacher is one of five men in the world to have earned a black belt under Royce Gracie. For those of you that don't know he won 3 of the first 4 Ultimate Fighting Championships, and he and his brother are the ones who originally started the UFC. I get to train with him when he comes into town and it is truly an honor. I played Football in college and blew my shoulder out after a year and a half. I had a void in my life after that until I found Jujitsu. I believe we all need a release of some sort especially Type A personalities. I live for competition. You have to challenge yourself constantly if you want to be great. All of the legends in any particular endeavor lets use Michael Jordan for example, thrived on competition. The one distinction they all made, which I have adopted, is compete with no one only compete with yourself. Michael didn't compete with his opposition he pushed himself to another level so that no one could touch him. I have had many inspirational people come and go from my life. One of my coaches in high school told me something once that I have applied to all areas of my life. It had such an impact on me. He said, "Fulford! Now listen boy~you got all the natural ability in the world, but that's 'bout as worthless as tits on a mule if you don't develop it. You want to be great don't you? Well you have got to work when the other guy's not. If you can't sleep at night-go lift weights. If you miss a tackle during scrimmages-stay after practice and hit the dummy 'til you can't feel your legs. Every free minute you have-watch film to exploit their weaknesses. Do that and watch how effortless this game can be. EFFORTLESS That is how I live my life. If you have the highest intention to do an activity you can never be disappointed. I have definitely had my trials and tribulations in my short life thus far. I guess the best way to describe me is a re-formed bad boy. I used to just do whatever and was completely spontaneous. I also ended up getting in my fair share of trouble. For some reason I didn't think the rules applied to me. I still have the same personality; I just make better choices these days. With that being said I have no regrets. Of course I wish I could have learned through wisdom, but sometimes gaining the knowledge through personal mishap is the only way to learn a lesson. I have seen both ends of the spectrum and it allows me to relate to pretty much any situation. I know most of us have A.D.D. so I don't want to ramble on. I am a very open person and anything you would like to know please don't hesitate to ask!
