Hi there, I'm Amanda :) Chances are though, if you're reading this, you don't call me that. You know me as something along the lines of Manda, Ders, Hoover, Red... the list goes on. Anyway, I'm 21. I've lived in Schenectady for about 15 years & graduated from good old Mohon in 2003. Did the college thing for about two years. Didn't leave Cobleskill with a degree but definitely hung on to a few amazing people, which makes me feel like I didn't really waste the time I spent there. I'll be going back to school again in January for Business Management which ought to please my Mother :)
I'm currently working two jobs; one full time, the other just part time. During the day, I work for AAA as a Front Counter MSA which just means I get to process memberships face to face with my customers, give directions all over the place [my Coby girls know how great I am with that ;)]. I really enjoy what I do. In October, I graduated from the College of Disney Knowledge; I even got ears ;) At night and on the weekends, I cashier at Hannaford. It doesn't pay great but I just got a raise :)
I'm very family oriented. My entire family is nuts (in a good way, I swear) and I wouldn't have it any other way :D Being the oldest of five kids, I learned to stand up for myself and my opinions (read: I'm loud) I would drop everything for my siblings; they mean the world to me. My baby sister reminds me everyday to stick up for myself; she's a little spitfire. Jess keeps me pretty :) She's like my personal stylist. My baby brother keeps me thinking; his logic never makes sense to me but he keeps me on my toes & Rich is more like my big brother than my little brother. My little sisters are my other halves... or thirds, I guess; and my brothers stick up for me. My Momma's my best friend and my Daddy's fantastic.
I was born a redhead and definitely live up to that fiesty stereotypical redhead persona, but I'm not crazy. I live for pajama days, hot cocoa, trashy books, Sam Adams, good movies, cheesecake, flannel sheets, stiletto heels, autumn, cooking [especially italian :)], board games, cheap wine, purses, baking, vanilla ice cream, chinese food, snow, myself, fireworks (i'll see as many as possible for 4th of july; it's my fave holiday & i'll have the worlds smallest wedding to have a killer fireworks display) yankee candles, summertime cook-outs, watermelon, any time with my sisters, & the hope that one day, I'll get everything on my list. I have an obsession with big trucks, motorcycles, country music and guys that don't mind getting their hands dirty and I blame Cobleskill entirely (not that I'm complaining). Simple things make me happy and I know exactly what I want out of life but I dont mind making a few pitstops along the way. It's all just a matter of getting there. I dont have a huge group of friends; rather a small group I know I can depend on for anything, and vice versa.
I believe in living life without regrets and doing things for yourself. If you're not happy, who better to fix that than you? Other than that, I swear too much, laugh too hard, drive too fast, take too many pictures and don't know when to shut up but hey, I'm cute damnit. I'm a good time ;)
