Hanging out with my family and friends, listening to music, reading lots of books, watching movies, and trying to become all that God wants me to become and do all that He wants me to do.
I consider it great fortune that I have already met my most favorite people on the planet already! But some others that I would love to meet in person are, in no particular order: Bono of U2 because I think he is very interesting and I admire his using his fame for great causes. Oprah, ditto. Micky Dolenz, because I have loved The Monkees since I was 7 years old and have met Davy Jones already. I have seen Micky perform live once or twice but didn't get to meet him. Reaching back into the past, would have loved to meet: Florence Nightengale, since I am a nurse. Helen Keller, unbelievably incredible inspiration. Mister Rogers, loved him as a child because he was such a sweet man. And most of all, Jesus Christ when He was actually here in the flesh. That would be incredible, but thank God that we don't have to travel to the past to know Jesus!
Kevin Max, aka The Voice! DC Talk, The Monkees, Simon and Garfunkel, U2, The Beatles, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Terry Scott Taylor, Undercover, The Choir, Steve Taylor, The Alarm, Superchick, Barlow Girl, Hawk Nelson, ZoeGirl, Tait, TobyMac, Men without Hats, Howard Jones, duranduran, Tears for Fears, Weird Al, Harry Connick, Jr., Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, The Doors, Collective Soul, Lifehouse, the soundtrack from Wicked, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd and too many others.
The Princess Bride, best movie ever made and the book was even better, enough said! Legends of the Fall, fascinating. Pirates of the Carribean, hilarious and fun. Tommy Boy, ditto. The Sixth Sense, Signs, Unbreakable, Peter Pan, the live action one from a couple of years ago. All the Star Wars movies, although the original is my favorite. Dream a Little Dream, the best movie that the Coreys ever made. Also liked The Lost Boys with the Coreys. The Goonies, hilarious! The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and all those teen movies from the eighties. Okay, maybe not all. The Outsiders, filmed partly in my old hometowns of Owasso and Tulsa, OK. UHF, gotta love the AL! That reminds me, I want to meet Weird Al. Saw him perform live but never got to meet him. He is just too funny! Forrest Gump, great movie and the reason we changed our minds about our son's name. We had settled on the name of Forrest for a few weeks before the movie came out. Then we saw the movie and decided that even though we still liked the name, he could be teased forever. We also didn't name him Luke Sky Walker, like my husband wanted too. Back to movies, Austin Powers (1st and 2nd ones only), Chocolat, Under the Tuscan Sun, Finding Nemo, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Walk the Line, Shrek, The Lion King, Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the new one), It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story: Our favorite holiday movie and the reason we have had eggrolls on Christmas Day for the past several years plus my husband looked just like Ralphie when he was a kid!
ER, the only show that I can't stand to miss taping and watching later, since my family won't watch it with me. The Dead Zone, Monk, and reruns of Seinfeld and Friends.
Thorn in My Heart, Fair is the Rose, and Whence Came a Prince: all by my favorite author, Liz Curtis Higgs. The Visitation, This Present Darkness, Piercing the Darkness, and most other books by Frank E. Peretti. The Plum Jelly Kids and The Wind Chasers, both by Doris Wheelus (you can learn more at DorisWheelus.com). There are so many that I can't list them all!
Jesus, first and foremost! My dear, sweet, darling, supportive, funny, and gorgeous husband. And my precious, God-sent, fun, and wonderful kids.
