About Me

After a fair amount of wandering, I find myself in Kansas. Yes, Kansas. Land of we-don't-believe-in-evolution. Yeesh. I live here with my husband, my son, and my daughter. Like anyone, I tell you that my life is nothing like I thought it would be, and so much more than I could have hoped.

You scored as Mermaid. Mermaid: Mermaids are also known as Sirens. These creatures were beautiful women who tricked sailors into becoming completely entranced by their haunting voices and found death soon after. Not all stories of Mermaids are about gentle loving sea people. They are mystical, magical, and extremely dangerous. They have a way about them that brings anyone they are around to seem enchanted. They are very mysterious creatures and to meet one... Would mean certain Death. Let the song of the Sea fill your soul, for you are a Mermaid.

You scored as III - The Empress. The Empress is a maternal symbol. She is the mother figure who loves, nurtures and protects. She will protect you, she will always be there when you are in trouble. When you fall over and graze your knee, the Empress will kiss it better. Yet she is not a weak figure. Her compassion is strength. If her children are threatened she will stop at nothing to protect them. If well aspected in a Tarot spread, the Empress can symbolise security, protection and unconditional love. If badly aspected it can represent over-protectiveness, fear of risk taking and refusal to face the real world.

Music:

I just got an Ipod which I filled with all of the CD's I was sick of listening to in the first dang place and so now I need new interests. Of course, there are the eternal favorites-- Sarah McLachlan (you just don't get a tattoo by a woman and then move on to other musicians!), Peter Gabriel, and I have recently gotten into Keane. They just don't make the angry chick music like they used to... Speaking of which, have you heard the new Dixie Chicks CD? Muy bien!

Television:

The Office (go, Jenna!), ER (it used to be so good but now I can't stop watching because I have too much time in, dammit), Desperate Housewives, and Grey's Anatomy.

Books:

You Should Get a PhD in Liberal Arts (like political science, literature, or philosophy)
You're a great thinker and a true philosopher.
You'd make a talented professor or writer. What Advanced Degree Should You Get?

Heroes:

My grandpa was my hero, and now he's looking over us and giving my children raspberries on their bellies.
