Anything with a good beat. Hip Hop, Reggaeton, Trance, Electronica... NIN, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Linkin Park, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are exceptions to that rule. Mash Ups have recently been all over my ipod. Absolutely no Hippy garbage.
Movies:
300, Transformers, Snatch, Old School, Wedding Crashers, Memento, City of God, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Braveheart, All the Lord of the Rings, Road Trip, Ninja Scroll, Saw, Every horror movie ever produced. All movies with political spin can rot in hell.
Television:
Flight of the Concords and Code Monkeys! Amazing. Reality TV is slowly loosening it's grip on me, but I still can't escape shows that focus on Flavor Flave. The dude is such a little crack head. Nip/Tuck - Best show on TV. Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Prison Break, The Office, all excellent. What's with moving The Office and My Name is Earl to Thursday nights? Those are my Vodka Nights?!
Books:
Shogun. Up Country. The Great Gatsby. DaVinci Code. Lion's Game. Angels and Demons. Aztec. Aztec Rage. Harry Potter. And a bunch of finance books. It's really not fair to list my favorite books because I'm an avid reader with a very bad memory. I'm leaving out a bunch due to that. My CFA books do NOT make my favorites' list.
