We are The Artisans. (formely English Immigrants) from South West UK. A Four piece Pop-Punk/Rock band that have been playing many gigs around the UK gaining experience and we have finally decided to concentrate on the band full-time. We have little commitments and are willing to play where ever you want us! If you want to help us out then all you have to do is tell a friend about us.
Review:
"This was the night English Immigrants officially changed course to become The Artisans, and the amount of people wearing the superbly designed bright blue T-shirts and clutching copies of the newly crowned band’s first EP proved their reckoning on the scene. Three things are in their favour: stormy rhythms that compel you to move, a penchant for sharply observed punk-pop songwriting about their own situation and Tom Gibbons’ stand-out vocals, which merge into some heart-grabbing bittersweet harmony – particularly evident on the enigmatic Does She Know.
Firing out for the most part self-penned turbo-charged indie rock and pop-punk classics in the making such as the ska’d-up Colours, their version of the Arctic Monkeys’ I Bet She Looks Good On The Dancefloor almost lifted the roof off. They climaxed with lead guitarist Steve Brown crowd-surfing as their brilliant and infectious anthem Square One found new, happy and willing hosts, who most surely would have been singing the “o-o-o†vocal hook all the way home."
