About Me

I do not choose to be a common manIt is my right to be uncommon - If I can.I seek opportunity - not security. I do not wish to be a kept citizen, humbeled and dulled by having the state look after me.I want to take the calculated risk; to dream and to build, to fail and to succeed.I refuse to barter incentive for a dole. I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence; the thrill of fulfillment to the stale calm of utopia.I will not trade freedom for beneficence nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat. It is my heritage to stand erect, proud and unafraid; to think and act for myself, enjoy the benefit of my creations and to face the world boldly and say, This I have done. cars layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your hearts longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals, or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true, I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself. if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty, even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours or mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes!" It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children. It doesn't interest me who you are, or how you came to be here- I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Television:

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; When the last scene of his life flashed before him, He looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path there was only one set of footprints. He recalled that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. He questioned, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way. Then why during the most troublemsome times in my life, the times when I needed you the most, would you leave me?" The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and would never, never leave you. During your times of trials and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Books:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadiquate, our deepest feer is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Our playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around us. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine we unconsously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others
