About Me

Alright, I love anything outdoors, hiking/backpacking, kayaking (preferably calm water), mtn. biking, road cycling, sailing, flying, outdoor photography, and snow skiing. If that doesn't give you an idea of what I like then ask me. However, more about me if you really want to know is that I was born and raised in Morristown, went to college at Vanderbilt in Nashville graduated in '03, my mom passed away in 2001 (most trying time of my life but I'm a stronger better person and I know she is in a far better place than this messed up Earth). After college I became an officer in the United States Navy for a little over a year, could have went anywhere in the U.S. when I got out, but decided to come back and spend time with my dad while I still can. I'm not really doing jack with my degree which is frustrating sometimes but being here for my dad is more important to me right now. Well kids thats about it, any questions ask either on here or on AIM at officer6272.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Excellent Book Quotes instead of people I want to meet: A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against his government. Ed Abbey. The more corrupt a society, the more numerous its laws. Ed Abbey. How to Overthrow the System: brew your own beer; kick in your Tee Vee; kill your own beef; build your own cabin and piss off the front porch whenever you bloddy well feel like it. Ed Abbey. Those who fear death most are those who enjoy life least. Ed Abbey. Authority loves power; and power attracts the worst, corrupts the best. Ed Abbey €œGlorious days I€™ll have sketching, pressing plants, studying the wonderful topography and the wild animals, our happy fellow mortals and neighbors. But the vast mountains in the distance, shall I ever know them, shall I be allowed to enter into their midst and dwell with them?€? €“John Muir My First Summer in the Sierra€œThe deeper the solitude the less the sense of loneliness, and the nearer our friends.€? €“John Muir My First Summer in the Sierra€œNo wonder the hills and groves were God€™s first temples, and the more they are cut down and hewn into cathedrals and churches, the farther off and dimmer seems the Lord himself.€? €“John Muir My First Summer in the Sierra€œ€ I scrambled home through the Indian [Canyon] gate, rejoicing, pitying the poor Professor and General, bound by clocks, almanacs, orders, duties, etc., and compelled to dwell with lowland care and dust and din, where Nature is covered and her voice smothered, while the poor, insignificant, wanderer enjoys the freedom and glory of God€™s wilderness.€? €“John Muir My First Summer in the Sierra€œThere are some good things to say about walking. Not many, but some. Walking takes longer, for example, than any other known from of locomotions except crawling. Thus it stretches time and prolongs life. Life is already too short to waste on speed. I have a friend who€™s always in a hurry; he never gets anywhere. Walking makes the world much bigger and therefore more interesting. You have time to observe the details,. The utopian technologists foresee a future for us in which distance is annihilated and anyone can transport himself anywhere, instantly. Big deal, Buckminster. To be everywhere at onces is to be nowhere forever, if you as me. That€™s God€™s job, not ours; that€™s what we pay Him for. Her for. The longest journey begins with a single step, not with a turn of the ignition key. That€™s the best thing about walking, the journey itself. It doesn€™t much matter whether you get where you going or not. You€™ll get there anyway. Every good hike brings you eventually back home. Right where you started.€? -Edward Abbey The Journey Home
