In 2005 Maurice L. Dortch "DOC" and Bruce Johnson formed an entertainment company that designed it's production, management, marketing and promotion services to meet the needs entertainment professionals, new and seasoned artist, and small and medium size businesses. Seeing the strong desire of music production, Maurice L. Dortch sought the help Lenny Hooks of Song World, Inc. Hooks has penned songs/hooks for Twista (Atlantic Records), White Boy (Icee Records), Chi Blizz (Go-Town Ent.), Mikkey (Virgin Records), and many more, including working in New York for Bad Boy Entertainment. After a few meetings the two companies merged to make Go-Town Entertainment one of Chicago's premiere entertainment companies.
In 2005 after the Katrina Hurricane, Go-Town Entertainment put together an incredible movement of Chicago artists to produce a song dedicated to the Katrina victims. "Weather The Storm" includes the production of Herb Brasko and Lyrics written by Lenny Hooks. 2005 went on to include bigger projects for Go-Town/Song World, working with One Chance (US Records), Mikkey (Virgin Records), among other upcoming projects that are sure to make 2006 the year of he Go!
