The sisters of Alpha Sigma Sorority first started out as the "Little Sisters of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity" on the Brooklyn College Campus. In need of gaining their independence, twenty one young and determined women wanted to establish their own greek letter organization. On February 14th, 1992 they finally received their charter and from that moment on Alpha Sigma Sorority was founded. Since then we have inducted many pledge classes and opened 3 other chapters at 3 different schools around New York City (including this one - the Gamma Chapter). At our Brooklyn College and Hunter College locations, Alpha Sigma is KNOWN for being one of the largest and most diverse sororities around. Our sisters are young women from all different backgrounds with many different interests. But no matter how different, we all have one main thing in common--our love and pride for our letters and each other. The sisters of Alpha Sigma have worked hard to bring our sorority to where it is now and we are extremely proud of our accomplishments.
