Indigo SKins - Straight outta....Carlisle

About Me

Formed in 2006, Indigo Skins are made up of John, 26, lead vocalist, Gav, 26, guitarist, Chris, 24, drums and Martin, 26, bass. Catchier than an Amsterdam brothel – and with no less variety, Indigo Skins have been making huge waves in the Indie/Rock scene throughout the whole of the North Of England & Scotland.
Their sound has been described as like the Jam beating the shit out of Pete Doherty with the Kinks getting fucked in the arse by the undertones in the background. Back on the gigging circuit and having performed alongside the likes of Glasvegas, Louie, The Law, Indigo Skins have already succeeded in launching their first self titled E.P. at Carlisle’s “the brickyard’. In addition the band have been nominated for a number of music awards in the North of England including Best Band (Overall), Best Band in North Cumbria, Best Rock Band, Best EP and Best Song for the track ‘Lesson In Loss’ by Tough Guy Music Ltd
“Lyrical genius” – Vibe Magazine
“A Fun mixture of heavy riffs and catchy, memorable lyrics” – By Night Magazine
“After been given some time to grow Indigo Skins could indeed become the next big thing” – ‘God Is In The TV’ Online Fanzine
“Indigo Skins could be going places” – LeedsMusicScene.net
"I haven’t heard words so simple and yet so profound since Alex Turner’s spotty fizzog appeared on that homemade video for I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor...quite brilliant" - Bristol Uncovered
“Indigo Skins sounded raw and unpolished but I really like them this way. Their songs were catchy and their lyrics memorable. They talk about drinking in Carlisle Pubs but I would be surprised if they were hanging about in their locals for too much longer.” – Panhandle Magazine
