Ah, my own little juicy slice of the internet, and I get to put whatever I want here?? Seriously? Hmm, this could be dangerous. ;) Just kiddin. Well, I'm rather random, so here goes...
Music is a huge part of my life. Singing can always put me in a better mood, and bring my life back to perspective. Depressed? Psshhh, I have built in Prozac because if I just sit down and let the emotion flow through me in song, I'm bound to feel better. I've found there's nothing quite like sitting back and getting lost in an incredible song. I have quite an eclectic taste when it comes to the kind of music I like. It's a pleasure to me to be introduced to a new song/bands/artists I have never heard of previously. NEWEST NEWS: I have recently started playing my acoustic guitar again. I can't tell you how good it feels to play...it's something I've always wanted to learn to do and I can feel that the time is now to really concentrate on becoming a better musician overall. I am half way there to having callused non hurting fingers which will allow me to become the future rockstar I know I am meant to be. ;) Other than music, I really enjoy great conversations with interesting and funny people. I am indeed social, but I like to spend an equal amount of my time being with people and spending some "me" time. Guess that's part of my Gemini nature. I love making people laugh, love to make people happy and I love seeing them smile. I have a big boisterous laugh and have been told quite often that it is infectious. I have some pretty wonderful friends, and wouldn't trade them for anything. I love, cherish, and am ever thankful for my wonderful family. I tend to say "seriously" a lot, and abundantly (over)use elispses...<~~~(Those dots right there, in case you're wondering what the hell I mean by elispses.) I am back pursing my second college degree, this time in Nursing. Although it's going to be a huge challenge, I'm truly excited about this new venture in my life and I am convinced that someday I am going to be a terrific nurse. In all honesty, singing is my true passion, and there's not much I'd rather be doing with my time...it's to the point of this: I sometimes find myself singing parts of sentences when I talk to people, but unlike the use of said elispses, I don't do this in OVER-abundance. I will harmonize with any sound. I've found this makes vacuuming that much more enjoyable. Hahahaaa. I give up my Friday evenings (GASP!) to host karaoke and DO admit that it is one of my guilty pleasures. Theatre has become a big part of my life, and I love how many new and amazing people I have met just by being involved in it. What else...? I adore being around children because they never look at me like I am crazy when I am being a total goofy dork, and you can't say that about most adults. So yeah, I'm weird. But so what...I'm also pretty cool so it balances it out. At least I can admit it. ;)
