Born in Vineland, New Jersey October 22 1987, raised by her mother Lidia Gonzalez and father William Cunningham Tashirah is the oldest of two younger brothers Shawn and William. As a young woman Tashirah had many dreams. At the age of five her parents decided to put good talent and beauty to a challenge and place her in a modeling contest in which she took all the way and was crowned 1st place grand prize winner. Shortly after the contest her life had been facing in a new direction which turned her away from dreams of becoming a part of a modeling career. Though times were tuff there would always be hope for the future.At the age of six the change was final her mother and father split leaving her and her brothers in the dark of what was to come next. “Times were harder than ever for the family as we struggled to live the glamorous lifeâ€. The following year Tasirah’s life began a second twist. At the age of seven she decided to look forward into following new dreams. What started out as poems then stories has led to the song of this future artist.†A lot of people wonder what led me to do what I do and how a person like me has so much to rap about, it’s basically the life I’ve been threw and situations I’ve seenâ€.“Ever since my younger days fate became my life to me I took everyday as if it was my last, poems and stories were twisted into songs left and right. Encouragement was invisible to my life I never had anyone believe in me. There always is that one friend Eddie Montanez. Most of all the pain forced me to want to write. Life put a burden on my chest that gave me the strength to write about what I’ve been threw and made me a determined person with challenging dreams.At the age of ten I would sit and write for hours and days about pain and struggles I would face. More than five years passed and still papi was no were insightâ€sometimes I thank god for him leaving my life because in reality he just gave me more to right aboutâ€. Ages 12-14 were years of progress and downfalls. When I was 14 I lost a part of my heart, the death of my cousin Moyo ripped me apart, I took his death as a loss to life but a gain in fate. We weren’t as tight as we should have been but for the most part he had a big role in my life. After Moyo’s death I found myself writing more than ever, I would right whenever wherever.At 15 Tashirah fell into what she called a black hole. “It was a time period were I didn’t want to do things I would normally do on a normal basisâ€. School was tough problems persisted and I even stopped writing at pointsâ€. It was a rough year for Tashirah. At the age 16 times grew harder and harder which once again pushed me to want to write but this time of all times there was a difference, I took time to think to this point and decide to do something that would benefit for the future of myself and my family.
