ATTENTION BANDS: We are no longer putting on shows so don't waste your time sending us messages as I'm afraid we can't help you.

MOON ON A STICK was a music promotion collective based in sunny Margate, Kent. We put on shows of an alternative / indie / hardcore slant at the QUBAR every Thursday night from summer 2005 until November 2007. This is whyâ€¦

As a bunch of bods in bands, we wanted to provide somewhere for local and out of town musicians to come and play in an intimate venue to a receptive crowd. We were tired of seeing some pubs getting away with paying bands little or nothing, so we thought it was important to be non-profit, with all the money made on the door going to the bands.
Also, as people who actually want to watch bands, we felt there was a need for another place for like minded fellows to see some original stuff and maybe even discover something they really, reeeeally like!
