I am a Graphic Designer, an Artist and an Educator. Also, learning more about Photography everyday! Who said you could only follow one path? Plus, I was told never to rely on one source of income. The worse feeling is perpetually returning to a job that you hate just because the bills are due. To quote the raven, "Never More."
I'm a NC boy in the DC area - Man I miss Waffle House! Finally a number of Bojangles are being spotted...those buscuits be calling me.
I love to cook...I was taught that when you get older and ya wife gets upset she is gonna hold out in two areas, the cook..n and sex...you can live a couple of days without the sex but ya gotta eat everyday. So when I get married and my wife gets upset, I'm cooking her favorite dish...but only enough for me! LOL
But seriously...I am not the guy that is going to deplete his savings to impress a girl. You need a job and do expect to front the bill from time-to-time. Men have financial goals just like women. Its selfish to expect the other to always treat. Sorry, I've served my time...no more broke women.
I think relationships are going done hill because every is so concerned with what the other has to offer. What do you have to offer? Its a partnership. We all have room to improve.
And now for a quick public service announcement...
Folks, move out of ya parents house...open a saving account...look for legal tax breaks (Uncle Sam is taking too much too often)...put down the video game joystick and join a gym/stay active...if you're hooked on name brand clothes, there is nothing wrong with the sales rack...don't live life competing with your friends/family...guys, a woman truly can't be considered a dime if she doesn't have a good personality and can't hold a conversation...ladies, all bad guys don't show it initially. How many times has a guy come up to you and said, "Hello Miss. I am a pathological liar, I have 2 kids with 3 baby mamas and I love to beat my women. Can I call ya sometime?"...and always carry ID! Some of us always fit the description when 5-0 is on the block. "He was a short, tall, skinny, fat, young, old, light, dark, black man."
