A small town girl from Tucson, Arizona now living in our nation's capital. Completed my undergrad at the UofA. (Forever a Wildcat!) Now pursuing a Master's at Johns Hopkins. I work for the Washington Post, but it is not as sexy as it sounds. I love my Jeep, but I hate to drive. (Thank God for Metro.) The academic process feeds my ego. I miss the desert, mountains, and REAL Mexican food. I have good friends, old friends, and an ex. I still feel like an outsider on the east coast, but am falling hard for this city. I buy more shoes than clothes (cliche, I know.) If anyone knows where to get voice lessons in DC/MD, I would like to be a rockstar. I eat hard pasta right out of the bag with red wine. I don't like hypocrits (then again, who does?) My dad is a hard ass, my mom is a hippy. Buffy (yes, the Vampire Slayer) is a guilty pleasure. No, I wasn't in a Sorority. I believe in the 1st Amendment, Civil Liberties, and do not apologize for being Liberal. I don't eat pork or beef, but not for moral reasons. I own every Garbage album. I speak English (duh!), Spanish, and a fair amount of Portuguese. I'm not very good at being positive on my own, so I need positive people in my life. (Michelle is good for this.) I'll let you decide how natural my hair color is...
