I like the finer and ghetto things in life. I like the beauty and the ugly of what's out there. Screw seriousness, I'm all about having fun. I've got a thing for Daft Punk. I remember driving home back in 1997 and hearing their song Da Funk for the first time on the radio... I thought it was actually a commercial for a pizza joint, who's pizza I would of bought because the music was so awesome. I got to see Daft Punk back in 1998 (I think) in Toronto. It was an awesome show which made 10,000 Canadians bust their booties.
The selling point of going to Coachella in 2006 was that Daft Punk was going to be playing and what a show they played. I can't get their music out of my head after that. That whole experience was way cool (thanks to Ed). I got to meet Infusion, the Audio Bullys, had a little conversation with Derrick Carter, and got the whole dance tent to cheer when my "BUSH SUCKS!" sign was shown on the big screens while waiting for Madonna.
I was lucky enough to see them at Bang! in Miami in November 2006. It was the ONLY show I've ever screamed like a girl seeing the Beatles back in the day. I'm not embarressed at all though, because it was one of the BEST times of my life.
Lollapalooza... the mecca of the midwest music festivals... Daft Punk was INCREDIBLE there... the after party at the Green Dolphin was better though...
One of the coolest after parties I've ever been to... Busy P, SebastiAn, Kavinsky, and special "TBA" guest?!? I wonder who that could be... It was Thomas and MIA... DJ Funk was ghetto booty delicious!
Toronto, CA... Arrow Hall August 5th! Night of my life... Live Daft Punk front row... got to get a picture with Busy P and Kavinsky from the DJ booth... way cool, but not as cool as the Mod Club....
The f'n Mod Club after party for Daft Punk... sold out when we got there, but Thomas from Daft Punk got us in through the back of the club, I got to meet Guy-Man, got to party front stage until half way through the night we ended up on stage! BEST night of my life... EVER!
