About Me

I was born and raised in the Bronx, although if you met me, you probably wouldn't believe me. In order to counteract my lack of ghetto-ness (or is it ghetto-ousity?), I wear a Yankees hat and a sweatshirt that says "THE BRONX" on it. Moved out to California and the tender age of 17, and I've only been back to NY for summers and Christmas vacations since. Started working at Texas Instruments, which has allowed me to travel to Europe for the first four times in my life. Left to join a start-up called Staccato working on W-USB chips. I'm fun-loving, playa-hating, and have a penchant for punching Dre in the lip when I'm drunk. In my copious free time, I:
* try to learn Japanese so I can watch anime/movies and talk to them without subtitles and a translator appropriately
* work my ass off to be the best kickball catch in the WAKA league * struggle with exhaustion at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class, where I'm learning to be an assassin * hang out with friends, BBQing, drinking scotch/beers, playing poker, shooting pool, watching movies, or whatever suits our delectable fancy
* watch reality TV, anime, and movies
* play frisbee golf down in Balboa Park
* work on computers either programming, blogging, or tinkering with the hardware
* play video games in the hopes that I can one day turn it into a profession

My Interests

japanese, brazilian jiu jitsu, programming, home theater, computer building, blogging, anime, video games, binge drinking, frisbee, scotch tasting, sushi eating

I'd like to meet:

People who like binge-drinking and playing Mario Kart. Other people too, including:

* people I went to PS105, PS83, and IS181 in the Bronx with
* people I knew at Collegiate, preferably those friendly with me or sons of the filthy stinkin' rich
* friends from Pomona, although I keep in touch with most of the ones I care to
* people in San Diego that I do know
* people in San Diego that I don't know, so I don't end up only knowing people from work
