About Me

BRR - Becca Rebecca Ray was born to farm. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t know that. Throughout her life she had a drawing to farmlife, but her high society lifestyle steered clear of the country living. At a young age she excelled in 4-H competitions, however, she often blew off the official “state” functions to hang with her friends. Her family begged her to enter horse competitions with her miniature gelding “SHONK” but she rode for fun. As the years passed by, Becca found an affinity for growing things. At age 7 she had grown the largest watermelon in Lake County, Indiana. By 9 she was growing fields of beans, corn and sunflowers. Still she flippantly would leave her fields in a second to go to the movies. During her teenage years Becca again competed locally for a variety of 4-H and Fair type functions, but always bailed before the money rounds. (It was later reported that she was under investigation for using illegal food growth supplements) As Becca ventured off to college, she was often recruited by other students to use her “gift” to grow herb oriented plants, but she refused. Passing up the opportunity to make a fortune, Becca knew that was not what her gift was meant for. Not to mention the extreme ethical and moral issues she had with it. She finally made peace with her gifting for the farm life in 2002 when she began tending to her own goat farm. She currently herds 24 premium goats and 1 50/50 blend goat/donkey thing, and one day hopes to have a herd of 100. In her spare time, Becca is also highly involved at her church teaching children, working with troubled teens and occasionally singing. While she has traveled the world several times, she eventually plans to work someday as a missionary. God Bless Becca.
