We have a wide selection of new and vintage recording gear including a pro tools recording system with 24 inputs and outputs, reel to reel recorders, and a 36 channel Soundcraft board. Our studio also has a large selection of hard to find vintage instruments and amplifiers. Our collection also has a number of classic keyboards, including a Hammond B3 organ with a Leslie 122 speaker, a number of analog synthesizers, a Fender Rhodes, and a Wurlitzer electric piano.
At Dryhill we appreciate the benefits of home recording (including the perfect take recorded alone at 4am.) We have collaborated with many musicians who've tracked material on their own, before stepping foot in a studio. The collaborations have included musicians coming in to track instruments that are difficult to capture in the home recording environment (drums for instance.) We have also mixed projects that were home recorded, which allows the artist a chance to utilize a different set of gear during the mixing process, and to be able to listen to the music in an acoustically sound environment (not to mention that it is a chance for the musician/recordist to not have to do everything.)
The relaxed and creative atmosphere at Dryhill allows musicians to devote themselves to their performance. Years of experience with our equipment has taught us how to approach the recording process. The audio engineer's role is to make your vision a reality.
