I absolutely believe that protesting and speaking out about wrong doing are our god given rights. However, once the shooting starts and my fellow countrymen and women are in harms way for us, our families, and our country, we should not do anything to undermine their mission. It does not matter if we agree, or disagree with a conflict that our soldiers may be in. We can complain about it after our soldiers return safely. Until then we should only show support for them. Our soldiers would much rather be at home with their families like the rest of us. They do not want to go to war. They don't want people shooting at them. They are just trying to serve their country (us). I promise you that the people they are fighting for you and I would never shed a tear for you or your family. They would never protest if your children were murdered by their cowardly terrorist bombs. They hate you and your family with a passion. They selfishly believe that if they help to kill you or your family that will ensure their place with their aweful god in paradise where they can then defile 17 virgins. If they want to stop killing innocent people in the name of Alla then I am willing to live peacefully side by side with them as we did before. But their leaders and teachers keep telling them to eradicate all infidels (you & I and our families) from the earth. Until they stop preaching and teaching this, and until their youth start rejecting this we will continue to be targets for these cowards. I understand that true Islam is not a violent religion. It is a religion of peace. I understand that most Muslims are good, honest, peace loving people that want the same things in life that other good, honest, peace loving people want. I do not advocate discriminating against Muslims who know what their religion is really about and reject these radical, hate filled teachings. However, if one should listen to hate filled teachings and do nothing about it, then one becomes complicit through their inaction, and lack of concern about the poison that is being spread. All people, not just Muslims have a responsibility to mankind. But in this current atmosphere Muslims in particular have a bigger respsonsibility to their faith and their families to reject these radical preachers, shelter their children from them, confront them when they preach hate, and report them if they advocate harm to any human being. That is what I think. What do you think?
