WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE:
A seething, grotesque mixture of progressive metalcore and brutish, bone-powdering breakdowns, Graceful Dead might not be reinventing the steel, but they've got a fiery intensity that marks them out as contenders. Songs like 'Blinking With Fists' and'A Wish Is Only A Wish' skillfully ride the metal zeitgeist while giving off a palpable air of snotty menace.
THE STORY SO FAR:
Emerging from the once-fertile Kent hardcore scene, Graceful Dead are a much more overtly metallic concern than many of their erstwhile peers, but it hasn't taken the band long to develop a fearsome reputation as a great live act and one of the most promising young metal bands in the UK. their debut self-titled EP, which can be heard in its entirety on MySpace, has garnered the band a tsunami of positive responses. They are currently working on material for the new mini-album, which should be exploding into your ears later this year.
