"FLS†mix several styles with moments of punk and reggae thrown into the mix and with their changes in tempo and dynamic they have a sound that is very original and their own." - Saggypants.co.uk review.
Fat Lady Singh are putting the finishing touches to their new long awaited E.P. due for release in early 2008. In order to promote the new cd, FLS are booking gigs nationwide alongside a whole host of touring bands.
2007 saw the band holding court with bands such as Sonic Boom Six, Voodoo Glow Skulls, and The King Blues.
Fat Lady Singh's influences are varied and include bands such as "Sublime", "The Mad Caddies", Streetlight Manifesto and various other acts from the 3rd wave of Ska era.
2008 has seen Fat Lady Singh thrust into the national spotlight in the nationwide “Live and Unsigned†competition. The band have made it through into the London Grand Final, fending off competition from over 10,000 entrants and are just one performance away from taking the crown.
"This is not your old school, traditional ska and with the fast, hip hop influenced vocal patterns and crazy changes it is more a mix of Mr Bungle without the metal or Aquabats with more funky and British ska edge" – Gaz Pee – The Maze (Nottingham)
