I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a recent Philadelphian, which some would say means I am not and never REALLY can be a Philadelphian. Apparently it's a birthright and cannot be acquired even by marriage. I live in an actual house with a yard and a driveway in Havertown, PA with my husband, Patrick; our chocolate lab, Guinness; and our overweight tabby cat, Isabelle (don't worry, she's on a diet). I'm an editor and my favorite punctuation is the semicolon. I take a commuter train into Philadelphia for work every day just like a real grownup. I love coffee but I hate caffeine. I'm pretty shy when I meet new people, but I definitely open up once I feel comfortable. I'm a loyal friend with a tendency for nostalgia. I've lived in Pennsylvania and Maryland for the last 9 years, but I'm a Mainer at heart--in my ideal world I'd move back there someday, but it's probably not in the cards. I guess that's more ammunition for those in the "you're not a real Philadelphian" camp. So be it. I love spending time with my family, even when they drive me nuts.
