MarcusBLACK (born Marcus Vaughn) was born and raised on the Eastside of Manchester, New Hampshire. Manchester, was once a thriving community of diversely owned businesses in the past years. Now Manchester is a place where drug dealing, prostitution, and murder is all too common.
Marcus grew up in the zone of Manchester, which is the heart of the crime infested neighborhood. Marcus has unfortunately lost over 20 friends and family members to the streets. "Death is such a big part of my life, I dont even cry or feel sad about it anymore, my feelings completely are numb" says Marcus.
At 12 years old, Marcus interest in hip-hop developed. Marcus and his cousins started when he turned 14 yrs old. "It wasn't to easy for me to just be a rapper at first." Says Marcus. Still determined to rap, Marcus kept on with his goal of becoming an emcee. He wrote his first rhyme and then recorded the song "2 Of The Greatest" with his cousin Young Envy.
Shortly after recording the song with his cousin, Marcus lost interest in music and became more interested in girls. At 15 years old, music re-entered Marcus' heart and has never left.
He continued rapping on his own. He crafted his skills in bedroom/mini recording studio.
Marcus gained interested in producing rather than being an MC. He also had aspirations of building his own record company so he decided to create "Starting Line-Up Entertainment".
From 2004 to 2006 almost every aspiring young rapper to local veteran rapper came to Marcus' 4th floor apartment/mini recording studio in the Manchester Street Apartment Building.
Now a young pioneer in the Manchester Area rap scene Marcus Black went on to appear and collaborate on many successful mix tapes throughout the Country. Including: Taj-He-Spitz "Sittin On Paper."

Influences: I am influenced by a lot of different types of music. I am inspired by different things in my life. I don't go through every subject that I rap about, but from experiences with the enviroment around me, I am able to paint the picture of what is happening through a song. So I feel that my talent is to let the people know what is really going on out here.
Sounds Like: I Do My Own Thing And That's Why People Hate. I Don't Mind The Haters Though, They Doing Exactly What They Are Supposed To Do.
