Formed in 2004 The Flares were the remnants of an old covers band that had run its course & outstayed its welcome. Putting together a new band pretty quickly they entered the studio late 2004 to record their first EP “Like No Otherâ€. After the release of the CD the band split again due to musical differences, leaving just the two remaining members Mo Brown (Lead Vox & Guitar) & Joey Moffett (Lead Guitar). Determined not to fall by the wayside the two, armed with a Boss digital multitracker kept the flame burning, recording a host of demos and live acoustic songs throughout 2005 & 2006. Due to the response they received online from various reviews and music sites they decided to take it a step further and in early 2007 started to build a home studio to further enhance their recording environment which was completed October 2007. The First two months of this year have been dedicated to writing and arranging songs for a new 12 track album scheduled for release later this year with recording planned for the next few months, exciting times ahead!!!
