Bad Idea Bear

good attitude on the outside, bad attitude on the inside

About Me

Likes: good deeds, witty conversation, a great pair of shoes, chocolate chip cookies, the word 'abecedarian'.Dislikes: clutter, indecision, injustice, good people in bad clothing, stupid forwards.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Mischief, travel, throwing parties, photography, attempting to make the world a better place, dancing, reading, cooking, learning languages, paying more attention to world events, taking naps on the beach while learning those important current events through osmosis.

I'd like to meet:

Whoever made up this joke:Three old men are walking down the street. The first man says, 'oh, it's windy'. Second man goes, 'no, it's Thursday'. Third man chimes in, 'me too let's go get a drink'

Music:

David Gray is always my #1. Also like to hear Depeche Mode, Dave Gahan, Temposhark, Bitter:Sweet, Zero 7, Cake, Placebo, She Wants Revenge, The the, Oakenfold, The Cure, Madonna, Morcheeba, Moby, Marisa Monte, Rolling Stones, bossa nova, salsa, Jaguares, Jamiroquai, La Ley, Gipsy Kings, The Talking Heads, old school 70s rock and of course and naturally I adore Sinatra, Patsy Cline, and the always fabulous Ella Fitzgerald.

Movies:

The Great Escape, Secretary, Supersize Me, Millions, The Constant Gardener, City of God, Blow, Crash, Thank You for Smoking, Todo Sobre mi Madre, el Crimen del Padre Amaro, Secuestro Express, Bringing Up Baby, Gone With the Wind, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Stalag 17, Bridge Over the River Kwai, It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World, The Great Race, The History of the World Part I, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Rocky Horror Picture Show, So I Married an Axe Murderer...and then some, I'm sure.Does Eddie Izzard 'Dressed to Kill' count as a movie?

Television:

If I do watch TV it's usually the Travel Channel or Discovery. Man vs Wild...hellooo, Bear! You take that shirt off, baby! Then there's that hot Indiana Jones wannabe on Digging for the Truth -- he needs to lay off the tooth bleach but otherwise quite sexy. Always harnessing himself into something, and then getting dirty - what's not to like? Dirty Jobs and Samantha Brown's 'Passport To...' shows are fun. Also love The Office, Law & Order, Sex & the City, and the BBC version of Antiques Roadshow.

Books:

How about we do authors instead? Captain Corelli's Mandolin and the rest of the Louis de Bernieres collection is pure, gorgeous poetry, Bill Bryson rocks my world, Oscar Wilde gets me riled up, Lamb (the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal) and the rest of Christopher Moore's collection give me giggles, Jeffrey Steingarten stirs my passion for good cuisine, David Sedaris helps me remember why I drink, cookbooks inspire me, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy makes me smile, and Terry Pratchett is just the most inventive, clever, badass guy around.

Heroes:

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble-makers. The round heads in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status-quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify, or vilify them. But the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do. "-Jack Kerouac

London Part II: The Hand Job, Playing Expat, Harrod's and Global Warming
