About Me

Those of you who do not know me, it's a pleasure meeting you. I hope you enjoy what you find.
My life's mission is to compose, record, and perform as many songs as I can before I die. I guess that sounds a little dramatic, but it's true. I'd also love to dream that somehow my existence on this planet will make the world a better place.
As far as the composing and recording, the bands I've fronted in the more recent past have done 8 albums of original material, and have probably 30 or so songs on my laptop that have yet to get recorded. The music has appeared on lots of compilations for various charitable causes and from my latest calculations there are at the very least 15,000 records out there produced by my bands, and conservatively at least another 20,000-30,000 out there from various compilations with my music on them. Live from Bloomington, American Diesel Machine, Cheap and Easy, South Park Music Festival, IndianapolisMusic.Net to name a few. I guess that's not too shabby, but honestly, I'm not in any way satisfied with that number. I guess I forgot to mention the movies that have asked to use music on them. Oh well, hard to figure this crap out in the age of mechanical reproduction.
I've always been a performer. I was in boys choir, in theater productions in grade school, high school and at my alma mater the University of Notre Dame as well as Indiana University doing lots of Shakespeare, Moliere, and even starred in an operetta that I helped write in Angers, France. I lived there for a year, and want to move back there as soon as possible, but probably never will. I've also been a leading male in a couple independent films, and done some stunt work/fight scenes in a couple martial arts flicks.
As far as my music career is concerned, in addition to the choir I started piano lessons at 8, and in my first band was the keyboard player, then the singer, and must have been in 10 other bands throughout high school and college before X-RAY ROGER JIMMY came about. I guess with the bands I've been in more seriously, like X-RAY and F-6, as well as my budding solo career, I have performed music continuously for the past 10 years or so across the Midwest, in Colorado, California, and have done some paying gigs in France, as well as some street performing in Ireland and England. I've been on radio and television somewhere around 50 times performing, clowning, or basically just trying to spread the word about what I do so I can continue doing what I love to do.
For the most part on weekends I perform with X-RAY ROGER JIMMY. It is without a doubt the most successful part of my music career. You can find out where our next shows are at:www.x-rayrogerjimmy.comBut please check out my music. There's a bit more at:

But don't get attached to the mixes or arrangements, because some of the songs are already changed for the final mixes on the record which will be released when I'm satisified with it.
