She most recently performed in 365 Days/ 365 Plays with Ma-Yi Theater Company of New York and Jubilee Theater of Texas. Ms Acosta is a founding company member of Teatro de la Rosa with performances including: Eyes for Consuela, A Tale of Los Ninos Cinco, and Taming of the Shrew. Ms. Acosta served as director of Teatro de la Rosa's Teen Theater troupe from 2005-2007. As a teaching artist she was worked with many outreach organizations of Dallas/Fort Worth including: Arts Partners, Young Audiences, Writer’s Garrett, and the award winning after school program 1440 Experience for Latin Arts Association. In 2007 she served as interim artistic director for Cara Mia Theater Company to produce, direct and act in Nuestra Pastorela. Ms. Acosta has also worked with Teatro Dallas, Ritmo de Olas, Hip Pocket Theater over many years and has directed for the Hispanic Playwright’s Festival of Fort Worth and Fort Worth Theater. Young Audiences North Texas toured her children's play The Lizard Secret in their 2006-2007 season. Her latest original work, Recuerdos de mi Mama: Tributo a la Epoca de Oro still remains as Teatro de la Rosa’s best selling hit. Ms. Acosta is also a five year guest artist for the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra/Performing Arts Fort Worth as narrator and translator for the bilingual presentation of Peter and the Wolf.glumbert.com - Kinetic Sculpture
