About Me

Welcome to my Cartoon Planet!
Matt Britton - THIS IS IT! (2009) Bottle Of Britton Recordings
My latest release is a collection of polished four-track recordings, drums 'n' everythin'. It features my best 15 songs and they really are all good 'uns!
"So Much To Live So Much To Live For" (2008) DELETED
It was a collection of demos recorded on a digital four track and using full-on guitar effects and drum loops! I've superceded it with a proper album (above).
230407
I recorded my solo album in a studio at Greenacre Farm, Wiltshire, on 29th March 2007. I released it for public consumption on 23.04.07, St George's Day.
I was born in LEICESTER way back in 1971 when "Space 1999" was the accepted vision of the future and there'd be no roads after 2001 cos we'd all have hover-cars.......er....anyway.....I have lived in SALISBURY for over 12 years now, originally posted down here with the RAF, which I left in 2000. I've been writing songs since the early 90's, though I'd hardly describe myself as prolific. Influenced by MADCHESTER, Baggy, Shoegazing and all that and particularly the "Stourbridge three" - P W E I, Wonderstuff and Neds Atomic Dustbin. I'm continually influenced by a wide variety of other artists from The Who to the Duke Spirit.
I first unleashed my songs on the public in 2001 and I continue to perform in pubs and at parties, including a wedding! Ooh, and I've played a stadium too....well, in a marquee on Salisbury City's FOOTBALL pitch!
I host a fortnightly SALISBURY OPEN MIC night at the Winchester Gate.p>My sets include my older classics as well as more recently penned tunes, plus some dodgy acoustic cover versions!
I'm in it for the enjoyment, but payment in a pint here and there doesn't go amiss. I also accept pounds sterling and euros.
