All I ever have to write are headlines...

About Me

Currently full-time for my advertising Masters after a couple of years trying to do it piece by piece. My day to day temperment lies somewhere between the soaring grandeur of fantasizing about winning the One Show and being terrified that they'll kick my sorry ass out of school for sucking. When I'm not getting schooled, I work at Rasputin in Berkeley in their promotions department. I'm heading up a window display project tracking the history of Telegraph Avenue from pre-1950s to today...a lofty enterprise that will (hopefully) be coming to fruition sooner rather than later.

My Interests

Traveling, watching commercials and the TV in between them, all things nerdy and advertising-y, talking with my roomate, hanging out with friends, going out to drink and dance, movies, doing SF/BA stuff...although really I mostly just work and go to school and do homework. :(

I'd like to meet:

Anyone, really, but particularly other AAU students and anyone interested in advertising, media, marketing...making me laugh gets you big points, and laughing at MY jokes gets you even more...

Music:

Hm, with the possible exception, I think my tastes tend toward arena rock: Journey, Queen, Bowie, GnR, Bon Jovi (actually, most of the hair bands). Have some smaller scale stuff on the list, the Killers, the Bravery, the Lovemakers, Scissor Sisters. Super random would be Buffalo Daughter, Doobie Brothers, Kylie Minogue, the Capes, Cabaret Diosa and a fair amount of disco.

Movies:

I like movies. I like movies that other people generally don't want to watch (so sad). Faves: Clue, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Strictly Ballroom, almost anything with Julie Andrews, Scotland PA, A Fish Called Wanda, Clerks, Coen Bros., A Christmas Story, Labyrinth, Spaceballs, Airplane, Disney, Musicals, Rock Hudson/Doris Day, Hitchcock

Television:

Lost, the Office, Gilmore Girls, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Studio 60, Heroes, the occasional Iron Chef or Food Network Challenge, the Daily Show, the Amazing Race

Books:

A Fan's Notes, Conan Doyle, Harry Potter, Calvin and Hobbes, Griffin and Sabine, C.S. Lewis, Shakespeare, Red Dragon, Dorothy Parker
