About Me
THE FOLLOWING IS STARGUNN'S LAST KNOWN BIO:
"Born in Nashville, raised in Hollywood, STARGUNN is Shooter Jennings who sings and plays piano, Kevin Sciou who rips the guitar and sings some backgrounds, Carter Falco who does the same, Curtis Roach who bottoms them out with his bass and Lex Lipsitz whos known to rock the kit.So you think you want the facts, the STARGUNN highlights from the past couple years. Well, the band started 2001 by recording their first record The Only Way Up Is Down, Part One in Nashville with Shooter producing and Charlie Brocco (LA Guns/DIO) mixing. Touchstone Pictures got a hold of the CD and licensed White Lines N Black Ties for their film The Crew starring Burt Reynolds and Jeremy Piven. Then they toured the south twice behind the record, playing with bands like Saliva, Tesla, Mark Ford and others. Sure, their song Katwalk was featured in MADE starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau. Yeah, Tom Morello of Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine became a fan of the band and agreed to remix the song for the movies soundtrack. Then the label liked the remix so much they put it on another record they put out called Respect The Rock alongside Queens Of The Stone Age, The Supersuckers, Fu Manchu, Nashville Pussy and more. Of course then there was Music Connection magazine listing STARGUNN as one of their choices as Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2001. So now 2002 chimes inYou might want to know that STARGUNN covered Ive Always Been Crazy at the Waylon Jennings memorial in March of 2002, sharing the stage at the Ryman Theatre (original Grand Ole Opry) with the likes of Kid Rock, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Jr. and many more. Yep, then they covered the song for the RCA Tribute Record to Waylon that also includes Kid Rock, James Hetfield, John Mellencamp, Ben Harper and Jessi Colter. Youll find that in stores in early 2003. This past summer you might have seen Shooter help former Guns N Roses members Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum belt out three G N R songs in front of 1500 of their closest LA friends. But if you were lucky, you could have been a part of the recording of their new live record STARGUNN: Live 2002. All of these things coupled with their blazing live show got Tom Morello thinking about his favorite young band again. He recently took the guys into the studio and produced five STARGUNN songs and asked his buddy Nick DiDia (RATM, Bruce Springsteen, STP) to mix them. Sure, well let you know what that sounds like real soonBut what you should really know about STARGUNN is........We got friends, We got ammo, We got plans and now we want your daughters!"
Since the band broke up in March of 2003 Shooter is making quite a mark on the country music world as he gets set to release his fourth album on the Universal South Label entitled "The Wolf" on October 23rd, 2007. If you catch the video for the first single "Walk of Life" you can see cameos by all three STARGUNN lead guitarists Matt Reasor, Jonathan Boddie and Kevin Sciou. Kevin is now playing with country music artist Jack Ingram and has made Nashville his home. Lex had the same idea and made his way back to Nashville as well where he continues to manage and produce. Carter and Curtis have remained in Los Angeles where they both continue with their respective musical projects.
