About Me

I'm a girl of the outdoors--I hate being cooped up inside. Mountain vs beach--I take mountain. I live for long hikes where halfway, you can have good cheese and bread overlooking an alpine lake. I am definitely not into showy possessions, and live within my means. I work in health care, and admire good bedside manner. I like to smile! I secretly wish I could have a huge vegetable garden, and wish I knew more history, which I paid little attention to in school. One of my secret passions is pirates! I love road trips and getting off the beaten track. Most of all, I love people who make me laugh, who look for the good in everyone, and who can tell good jokes (because I can't!).

My Interests

Backpacking, hiking. . . the outdoors in general! Started playing on a softball team and loved it, now looking to play on a soccer team. I love dogs (big ones), cooking (not the dogs), exploring new places, living in new cities. LOVE Oregon--espcially Portland. I like kayaking, vacuuming (the only housework I actually enjoy), bowling, and running. I love a good margarita! Don't give me any chocolate though! My favorite times are partying with friends!

I hitch onto my husband's interests: Dave Matthews, Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Frou Frou, Counting Crows, Jason Mraz, U2, Kelly Joe Phelps, Eminem, Bob Schneider, Neil Diamond, Marvin Gaye, Led Zepplin, Luce, Train, jazz in general.

Movies:

Loved Crash--so glad it won the Oscar! I'm a fan of Young Frankenstein, Memento, Whale Rider, Empire of the Sun, Office Space, Old School, Moulin Rouge, Love Actually, Swingers, LA Confidental, Rushmore, and The Usual Suspects. Pretty much the only movies I can quote are Top Gun and Back to the Future.

Television:

The Office, The Amazing Race, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, The Deadliest Catch, Lost.

Books:

The Kite Runner, Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird, Love Medicine, Ceremony.
