While only 23 years old, Brie Stoner has worn out four passports and lived over half her life overseas. She has traveled all over the world, from the Sahara to Argentina. Drawing from a variety of influences and a varied life experience, Brie lends her powerful voice to a unique and moving music. In 2001, Brie recorded her first full length album "Broken Glass Bottles" with the help of her band. Brie spent the rest of 2001 and 2002 shaping her music while touring the Midwest. Several tracks off the record received airplay on local radio stations and Brie was interviewed for two television broadcasts.Brie Stoner signed with Fonic Records in early 2003, an independent record label based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Collaborating with producer/multi-instrumentalist, Jay Bennett (Wilco, Billy Bragg) and David VanderVelde (Jonathan Rice, Mark Eitzel), Brie recorded and released "Slaves" a four song EP.In 2004, work began on her second full length album at Key Club Recording Company with David VanderVelde and Bill Skibee (Shellac, U.S. Maple, Chicago Underground). Unfortunately 2004 also saw the undoing of Fonic Records.Brie and David kept working on the record finally completing it in 2005. Featuring a full spectrum of sound from sparse arrangements with intimate vocals to densely textured tunes that explore the darker edge of indie pop-rock, Brie Stoner's second album is the culmination of her journey thus far.Now located in Los Angeles, California, Brie hopes to continue to gain more experience and exposure through both performances and media, bringing her art to an audience seeking meaningful and intelligent music. The record, L'Eclosion, will be released in the fall of 2006.
