About Me

I don't know what really to say about myself. Besides the basic personality traits everyone lists off it's always been hard for me to write about myself. I guess I'm at the point in my life where I just don't care anymore. And I don't mean that in the bad way. I mean I don't care to be fake just to have alot of friends as long as the few ones I have mean something. I don't care about what people think of me as long as I'm happy with who I am. I'm getting older and I think I've grown alot these past few years where I am now starting to realize what matters in life and to me. I have my flaws, god knows I do and there are many but of the ones I do recognize I'm tryng to change. I have my goals and my dremas that I set for myself and even-though I feel that I am years behind where I want to be, and it gets me down, I can't let that stop me. It will only sweeten the rewards once I reach them. Life is a journey, not a destination, and there are many things I have set out to do and who I hope to become.

My Interests

My interests are pretty random. I love entertainment news from who's playing what in which movie to who turned down the roles, to reading up on the history of historic buidling and monuments, (especially NYC), 20th century American History, politics, to 100's of other topics.

I'd like to meet:

Into guys who are confident, outgoing, funny, who likes to have a good time whether it be going out to clubs or bars hanging out dancing or laying low sitting back at home snuggled up watching a good movie.

Music:

I love music that I can visualize. I guess it's the performer in me that's too shy to ever come out but I love sitting back and really listen to a song like break down all the instruments and vocals and visualize someone performing it. My tastes range to all styles, not so much Rap or Hip-Hop but there are the exceptions. For me it's the songs that I can imagine the greatest performances.

Movies:

There are many... A League of their own (would love to have lived during that time), Fried Green Tomatoes, Lilo & Sitich, Cruel Intentions, Dogma, Contact, Life as a House, Roger Rabbit, My Cousin Vinny, (can totally quote the courtroom scene), The X-Men and Harry Potter Series, Broken Hearts Club, Josie and the Pussycats, (guilty pleasure)...I think I'll stop there. Hehe

Television:

So many to count. I used to never watch TV but I must say this year there were alot that I got hooked to. In random order... Any Law and Order, Housewives, Boston Legal, Nip/Tuck, THE VIEW (Love Rosie), Smallville, Family Guy, Drawn Together, Brothers & Sisters, The O.C., AbFab, and others that I'm drawing a blank on.

Books:

The Great Gatsby, Dangeous Liasions, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, (the only one I read of HP), Brokeback Mountain, (yes I know it was only a short story but it was still good). I unfortunely wish I read more books. I'm an .. person. I can't stop reading the news. CNN.com is my favorite website along with Wikipedia the free .. encyclopidia. I can read up on all my interest there in detail and how they spring off to other points of interest. I can sit back on those sites and read for hours.

Heroes:

Anyone who stands up for what they believe in and don't let the negativity around them detour from their goals of finding their dreams. People who better themselves but trying to better other people and who put the needs of others in front of their own. It's these people that I admire and look up to and strive to be.
