The Shout have been playing clubs in and around Hamilton and are quickly becoming one of the best bands in the city. They recently made it to the top 20 in the Virgin Festival contest in 2008. The band has opened for The Salads and The Marble Index and has played at the Legendary Silver Dollar Room in Toronto. Mike Maas formed the band in the summer of 2007. The line up has changed a little over the last year but the most recent line up is the strongest to date. With Max Wray and JJ Morley on board the band has just finished there 1st album. The sound has been described as only one thing ROCK N ROLL. With the band pulling from there influences such as the Beatles to John Mayer, Sam Roberts to Oasis, there new album is sure to get people up and moving. Watch for them at a Club near you and come see what everyone is talking about.John J. Morley started playing the bass guitar approximately 10 years ago. It was a result of his friends saying he had the look of a bass player. Born and raised in Hamilton Ont, John has always been inspired by the great Hamilton music scene. Playing in various bands around Hamilton has always been a focus for John.Max Wray starting with piano at the age of five, he has been playing music in some form ever since. He is now a multi-instrumentalist that hails from Hamilton Ont. Playing drums, guitar, and piano he has been working in groups all over southern Ontario. After graduating from Mohawk Colleges music program, where he discovered new musical ideas, he played in a variety of different acts covering all different musical genres. His past includes everything from Christian Hip-Hop groups, to jazz trios, but now he splits his time between his solo acoustic project and drumming for the shout.Mike Maas recorded his 1st album called On The Otherside of The Trees in 2006, which was recorded at studio 410 Sound Productions in Hamilton Ont, Canada. He has been writing and playing music for 8 years now. He has a wide range of influences on his music from The Beatles to U2, Oasis to Coldplay. They all have played a vital part in this young songwriters life. The future is looking bright as he continues to push forward in the music business.<
