About Me

I grew up in the small town of La Porte, Indiana. And am now living there again----with some pros and cons. I graduated from Purdue University in 2004 with a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. I worked for a year and a half and hated my job...so I decided to go back to school. Because, really, I am best at being a student. I am going to IUSB to get a teaching license. I'd like to teach Secondary Education, Science.So, I'm dating Tim after about 9 years of us trying to avoid the inevitable. I now can't believe I put it off for so long. I love him, I really do! He makes me happy and I'm very lucky. Tim and I recently moved out of our lovely abode at Hillcrest. Just us two now....I'm outgoing and I don't get embarrassed often. I am obsessive-compulsive at times and need to have things in their place. I don't really like being alone, although sometimes I just need my space and have to get away. I love to travel. I love beaches and palm trees. I want to go places that take my breath away.

My Interests

MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC, Running, Reading, Shopping, Politics, Food :), Friends, Having a Corona by a lake, Sunshine, Palm Trees, Beaches, Being environmentally friendly, the occasional pedicure and manicure, ....the usual!

I'd like to meet:

My kids....I can't wait to see what their personalities will be like and who they will become. I don't want to have kids for YEARS...but I think it would be cool to meet them when they are 20 and when I'm young. Does that make sense?!?

To Kill a Mockingbird, The Poisonwood Bible, The Shopaholic Collection, She's Come Undone, the Stephanie Plum Series, Mysteries, Harry Potter, ....I love to read, but I really can't name any other fav's.

Heroes:

I look up to the people that really make a difference in small communities. The people that put their own personal time aside to volunteer and make a difference. I look up to my parents because they have done nothing but good things for my brother and I, all while teaching and trying to influence their students.
