Thomas Barlow (HITMAN) has been a fan of the rap music ever since I can remember. Artists like Dr. Dre, 2 Pac, Ice Cube, Scarface and Beanie Segal are major influences on my reasons for getting into the music business.
I attended Flint Northern High school. This is where I really began to accept music as my calling. I started lacing freestyles at the lunch table, and at all the skip parties that I attended. Freestyling made me quite popular during my four years of high school along side me being a varsity football player and ever since then people told me I should rap. After I graduated, I began college for a short period but that did not work out. Therefore, I got on my grind and begin to hustle. At this point my right had man (siege) formed a two man group, Flint G’s. We decided that we were going to make this music game happen. 2003 I met a guy named K-mand, Ceo of trailblaze records out of Detroit michigan, linking up with him and his Detroit crew. Things ran smoothly for a while but severe disagreements lead to a skit up. A word of advice for others in the game, “never stick around with unloyal cats.
So ending up back at square one, I began to pay for studio time, in my search I ran into thoroughbred (Omar Batson, CEO of THE CHOSEN FEW CORP) and I began recording songs consecutively for weeks. My curiosity kept me coming around the chosen few studios and it made me want to interact with a real label.
In January 05, I signed with the label and completed my first cd. I have been here for a year and in 2006, I plan to prosper both finically and musically.
