afterthought

Afterthought hails from Gilbert, Arizona. Comprised of Malachi (guitar, vocals), Brent (lead guitar), Andrew (bass), and Tommy (drums), Afterthought saw its beginnings during the summer of 2003. Brent and Malachi, who met in high school, got together to share their experiences on the guitar.After only a few meetings, original songs formed themselves as Brent composed the lead guitar part and Malachi styled his unique lyrics over top. Their love for crafting songs led them to record for posterity. Eventually, after countless nudgings from numerous friends, they formed a full band to play these songs live. Brent's versatile brother Andrew picked up the bass, while Tommy stepped forward to lend his percussion skills. A few practices later they began to play live shows -- which brings us to today.Afterthought, borrowing influence from musicians like U2, Dave Matthews, A Perfect Circle and Incubus, brings a unique perspective to the music scene of today.
