About Me

Spent many years in London as a dancer for rave organisations and bands including Spitfire and Lush, touring the UK.Lived the rock n roll life in London, from the 'Shoe Gaze' and grunge era through to Britpop. My neighbours included Danny from Supergrass, James and Derry from EMF and Graham Coxon (formerly of Blur) - I played keyboards (Farfisa Compact Organ, Vox Continental, Moog, Korg MS20 etc)and sung backing vocals for Deluxor (with Anna Page) and with TV One, who released a single on the Fierce Panda label, supporting bands such as Gold Blade, Spectrum (formerly Spaceman3), Six by Seven and Coldplay. Also toured across Europe with The Buzzcocks and Portugal, Spain and France with Nirvana on their In Utero tour in 1994. I also worked as a photographer's assistant, graphic designer and gig photographer - having photographs published in music magazines and 'What's On' and designed TV One's single cover.Left London in Sept 2000, moving back to my native Hampshire to complete a Performing Arts degree at the University of Winchester and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Portsmouth University. Phew!I am also a burleque/comedy/cabaret performer, performing alongside my twin sister Cha Cha Boom Boom, (when I'm not too busy that is!) and I am now a teacher of Performing Arts/Drama & a Community Arts facilitator. My dream is to help others (especially women) find their lost creativity and work in Community Drama/Arts, travelling the world to reach & help others obtain their rights and dreams through the use of the arts(especially performance). My most recent projects included a 5 month community drama project (Feb - July 2007) in HMP West Hill Winchester - for which I became the prison's drama tutor, directing 10 male prisoners and 6 undergraduate students from the University of Winchester in a collaborative production of 'Ubu Roi' which subsequently sold out 5 performances to outside audiences, prison govenors/officers and prisoner's families. I would like to continue my work as a drama/theatre practitioner, working abroad and in the UK. I am hoping to start my MA in Applied Theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama next September 2009.I am now back in North London working as an Education Manager for an amazing theatre company called Clean Break who work with female prisoners and ex-prisoners and I have recently started writing songs and getting involved in music again - so watch this space!!!!Remember - There HAS to be a better way to live life!!!!!!!!!!Much Love x Which Irish Goddess Are You? (awesome pics)
You are Brighid, the goddess of poetry, healing and craft (especially metal craft). Your name, meaning "bright arrow," serves as the inspiration to all bards, artisans, scholars and any who work with words. You see art and beauty in so many things that you emulate creativity.
