Holy Madre

Soft is the new hard...

About Me

Holy Madre was formed sometime in the mid-nineties. Not as a band, but more as a concept and an overall name for different outputs of creativity.
Holy Madre stands for joy and devotion and can be expressed in such different forms as music or farming. There are no restraints to the ways of the Holy Madre spirit.
The recording studio Holy Fox Tower, located south of Stockholm, was the first materialisation of the Holy Madre spirit. Johan Borgert was the one who came to develop the musical side of Holy Madre when he in 2002 recorded and released his self-titled debut album.
The band Holy Madre started to take its form in the beginning of this century. They recorded an album together with Johan Borgert that was released in 2004. The record was received very well among the Swedish and Norwegian press.
Now its 2006 and the band Holy Madre has a new line-up. During the summer and fall of 2005 some of the old members and a couple of new ones have got together to record the album Holy Madre in very different surroundings. The result is popmusic that sounds like a mixture of Fleetwood Mac, The Boss, Pink Floyd, television-shows for children and Bryan Adams.
To this date the following people have contributed to enrich the Holy Madre spirit:
Johan Borgert, Kalle Danielsson, Eric Persson, Henrik Svensson, Anders Bennysson, Joachim Åkerman, Fredrik Andersson, Emil Eklund, Ewa Wikström, Tobias Barle, Paula Cederberg, Parkas Landahl, Joppen Frössén, Tobias Rydén, Martin Bucht, Johan Berglund, Per Helin, Anders Engström, Åse Bengtsson, Leif Borgert & Lasse Mårtén.
