Monkey Cocktail

About Me

Monkey Cocktail was formed in November of 1996. Lead singer/guitar player, Jack Adams, built the band around the rhythm section of drummer, Bobby Shaw, and bass player, Shawn Michael Farrell. A few short months after the bands inception, noted Chicago area guitar player and singer/songwriter, David Carl, joined the fold. In April of 98, the band released their debut, full-length album, First Light, under the moniker Dying Breed. A name conflict forced the band to change the name, and the band settled on Monkey Cocktail, a tag they are sure no other band would have. Since the bands beginning, Monkey Cocktail has enjoyed steady growth in popularity and recognition throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area, as well as Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The band has shared the stage with many national acts coming through the Midwest. Monkey Cocktail is known for their powerful, melodic songs; solid musicianship, strong vocals, and with the charismatic and engaging Jack Adams fronting the band, a dynamic and entertaining live show. Drummer, Bobby Shaw, left the band in January of 2005 and the drummer position in Monkey Cocktail is now occupied by Tony Schoon (pr:shown), rock solid and explosive. While the band is a collection of diverse personalities, there exists a rare cohesiveness few bands share.Get your layout on
