Laying her foundations by graduating through three of London’s most renowned and respected Music & Stage schools, – Sylvia Young’s, Soul Experience Vocal Academy & Redbridge Music School. Shar began her new found desire by learning to play the Keys and Clarinet as a child, realising that music was her calling and she in fact was actually born to sing.
Shar Alexandra, formally one third of girl group Soul Symphoni strives to express all that she has with her decision to go solo after making it into the final round of the tough BBC Urban Talent Quest!
A budding producer and a talented songwriter Shar has spent her time travelling Europe recording, and working closely with producers such as Havoc (Mobb Deep), JD (So Solid), Sticky, Blao, Rawheed and Sincere (young entrepreneurs)…Shar is in her prime and currently working on her yet to be titled debut solo album. She effortlessley demonstrates the rare ability to fuse old skool vocals with edgy hip-hop flavas and soulful grooves, whilst travelling through issues from Love, Life and the Streets in her unique no-nonsense attitude. After seeing her perform in venues such as Shepherds Bush Empire, Hard Rock café and Cargo…(to name a few!), it is evident that Shar is no stranger to the stage.
