ANYWAYS -- Wuttup, peeps!? I'm Beth from Wartown ... AKA Warner Robins, Georgia. I moved to Nashville about three years ago to be a singer and go to Belmont University. I am a vocal performance/music business double major approaching my "senior" year. I use to work at Hustler Hollywood, but now I am trying to focus on things that are more important to me. I love meeting new people and you'll be lucky to meet me! ;) *Mwah* :)
P.S. I am NOT SURE when I moved to Alabama ... But I am PRETTY SURE I am back in Georgia, now!! O.M. to the G.!! I'm kidding ... It was a simple slip of the wrist!! :P

*UPDATE* -- August 9, 2009
I have always leaned towards a career in the entertainment industry, ever since I can remember! It all began as a young girl, singing in the choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Wednesday and Sunday Morning masses. These were my first experiences singing in a public environment, although I often could be found practicing my roles for all the most popular Disney musicals of the time – “The Little Mermaid,†“Aladdin,†“The Lion King,†and “Pocahontas.†Soon, I was introduced to another genre of music that I truly found myself at home in – Country Music. Raised by a mother who religiously listened to Country, I knew nothing else outside of Church and Disney. One summer afternoon, at the age of 9, while tuned into channel 34 (CMT -- Country Music Television), I discovered a song that would change my life forever – The debut and #1 hit song of a 13-year-old phenomenon, LeAnn Rimes, “Blue.†I was amazed by her mature, developed sound at such a tender age and immediately wanted to be just like her! I made attempts to imitate her tone and quickly succeeded, according to many friends and various listeners. My first solo performance took place at the Kiwanis Talent Showcase of Perry, Georgia and earned me a 3rd place trophy, where I performed my rendition of LeAnn’s “On The Side Of Angels.†I branched out to many other popular female country artists, including Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Lila McCann, and Faith Hill, to name a few. I performed at any and every talent show, festival, fair, and pageant I could, making quite a name for myself in the small town I lived in, and those surrounding.
The world of POP soon monopolized the music industry, and it was the Backstreet Boys that influenced me that it was time for me to once again explore new genres of my art. I began adding new selections to my repertoire, and even learning the dances to go along with them, from artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson, then further on to Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion. At the peak of my desire to be the next big thing, a new gateway for aspiring artists was introduced to the entertainment industry – A reality TV series where singers could audition for a panel of judges, and advance to further rounds of competition, where their fate would ultimately be placed in the hands of America, their viewers. The final competitor left standing would receive a recording contract and be named the show’s clever title – “American Idol.†The original victor and Idol, Kelly Clarkson, would set the standard and open the doors for many hopeful future auditioners – Including myself. I joined the many thousands hopefuls in Season 2, literally sleeping on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia waiting for my chance to dazzle the judges! At 16 years old, I barely met the age requirements for the show. I passed the first round of competition, which consisted of the show’s assistant producers evaluating physical appearance of the hopeful contestants. Those lucky enough to advance would go on to audition for the producers of the show, and further to the executive producers. Then, would the determining verdict be made if they were talented enough to advance to Hollywood – Where they would have the opportunity to perform for the celebrity judges and actually be a part of the televised portion of the series. It was prior to this round that I was let go, with my young age being the only explanation for my letdown. I was devastated, but still a faithful follower of the competition, with the idea that I would return when I was old enough.
After much consideration and evaluation, I decided to attend college at Belmont University for 2 years and 2 summer semesters, double majoring in Commercial Music (Voice) and Music Business. During my freshmen semesters I was employed with a nightclub as a singer (Starz in Graham Central Station -- Downtown 2nd Avenue -- Nashville, TN). I also regularly performed for Lonnie’s and Kellie’s, two popular karaoke bars on the renowned Printer’s Alley in downtown Nashville. During fall break, I returned home and took a shot at another popular TV competition, aimed at the Country Music audience, “Nashville Star.†I advanced to the final five Georgia contestants in the Columbus, Georgia auditions, upon which only one contestant would be invited to the show. Although I wasn’t selected, I was not discouraged from my ultimate dream – To become a successful recording artist.
I have lots of experience in the entertainment industry and have received many awards. I have not only advanced to the final rounds of the Nashville Star show (USA network) in both Florida, where I placed in the top 15, and Georgia, where I placed in the top 5, and advanced to preliminary rounds of American Idol (FOX) … I have also sang all over the southeast at various events, including the Georgia National Fair, the Georgia State Fair, many Air Force events, various scholarship pageants, festivals, and political events – Including events for Governor Sonny Perdue, State Senator Saxby Chambliss, and Vice President Dick Cheney. I also had the amazing opportunity to record with and at the house of Tamika Scott of the popular R&B recording group, Xscape.
As for dancing, I have been a competition clogger for 10 years where my team and I advanced to national competition levels. I have taught clogging for several years, as well. I also have experience in other areas of dance. I was a member and the choreographer of my high school dance team and show choir. I now continue to compete with Southern Flare Studio’s clogging competition teams, and dance with the clogging and hip hop performance teams. We recently returned from Encore National Dance Competition in Charleston, South Carolina, where our 3 competition teams were awarded 1st place in EVERY category, and a 2nd and 1st overall championship. Preliminary wins were required to advance to the national level of competition, which we received in the state competition in Macon, Georgia. One of my specialties has always been having a knack for observing popular and hip hop choreography from music videos and being able to quickly pick up on the moves and sequences presented. I attribute my dancing skills to all of these talented “teachers,†as they can be credited with most of my training – Besides clogging, of course! ;)
