We change our name and members check out the new 7 piece band www.myspace.com/karawanedoom"Rise is a fairly new band and this is their first demo. This demo consists of 5 songs. Unlike a lot of other sludge-bands Rise manage to keep me interested throughout all the 5 tracks and that is a very good start. Sure, it's a little rough in the edges and the recording isn't super either but after all this is a demo and they recorded this in their rehearsal-room. To mention the good things about this demo; the songs are well thought through and it never gets boring. Sebastians vocals contributes with a more desperate and rough feeling to this demo which is exactly what makes this demo as great as it is. I think that Sebastians vocals hasn't reached its full potential yet. I would Like to hear Rise again after a year or so cause I know that they will go through a lot of improvements. This demo sure is a great start though and I will listen to it every now and then cause I think this demo will grow on me as it has up til now. I didn't thought that much of Rise in the beginning but now they have penetrated my ears and stucked inside my head. "
